Portsoken Community Centre – Making Time for A Little Celebration

Portsoken Community Centre hosted its first community event in January 2022. The Three Score, Middlesex Street Estate and Wingate Golden Oldies, Mansell Street Estate attended the charity event. The Chairman and organiser of the event, Henry Jones was also present on this occasion. The clubs which have been running for a combined total of 100 years took time out for a late festive get-together. Canopy by Hilton London City hotel was more than happy to host the event at their Penny Squares Restaurant, which will be opening to the public in March 2022.
The Portsoken Community Centre which opened its doors in October 2021, provides a range of activities for people of all ages living in the Portsoken ward of the City. The centre focuses on encouraging resident participation and facilitating activities that promote personal and educational development, health and wellbeing and multi-cultural and cross-generational cohesion.
