Recognising Our Best – 4C Hotel Group Annual Awards Ceremony

The 4C Annual Awards Ceremony held at the Westin London City in April 2022, recognised key milestones and achievements of various team members across the UK portfolio. It was a welcome opportunity for the group to be able to celebrate and recognise those who had kept us going over the pandemic and shown their commitment and support towards the growth of the group and the opening of it’s newest properties, Canopy by Hilton London City and the Westin London City.

Some of those recognised are highlighted below:

Rising Star Winner: Monica Deiana

Monica, Reception Manager at Westin London City

Monica demonstrated key traits of a rising star, having made a significant impact on her team, supporting them through recruitment, engagement and training, modelling our core values and being a great role model and leader.

Social and Environmental Award Winner: Central Office Team, London

Central Office Team

The Central Office Team demonstrated a commitment to drive sustainability in both their office and community. By developing key relationships within their local community, they have encouraged businesses in the local neighbourhood to support the group’s charitable initiatives and in doing so, have raised a significant amount of donations and support for Macmillan Cancer and the London Disability Network. By making a switch away from plastic and to recycle more items, the team were awarded a silver level certificate for their efforts in 2021 by First Mile, achieving a recycling level of 65% or above.

Innovation Award Winner: Andrea La Morella

 
Andrea – Guest Experience Manager

Andrea led on an initiative aimed at enhancing the experience for guests that travel with their children, allowing families to have a unique experience when staying at Westin London City.

Quality Award Winner: Canopy by Hilton London City

Canopy by Hilton London City Team

Canopy by Hilton London City, which officially opened to the public in October 2021, were worthy winners of the group’s quality award. The team has consistently provided operational excellence over the past two years and their performance was reflected by exceptional guest reviews and operational metrics for this period.

“My team and I are absolutely delighted to receive ‘The Quality Award’, within just six months of the hotel opening, although the team’s preparation began many months before! It’s also great to see that the team have shown this quality in service, by successfully blending 4C Hotel Group’s core values of Care, Constant Innovation, Communicate, and Conscience; against the Canopy Hilton ethos of guest-directed service and thoughtful local choices into our daily practices and guest experiences.”

Team Member of the Year Winner: John Ellis

John from Holiday Inn Express St Albans won the Team Member of the Year Award. John, demonstrated passion and excellence within his work and team over the past 2 years, exuding and role modelling our core values.

Property of the Year: Holiday Inn London – Camden Lock

Holiday Inn London Camden Team – winners of Property of the Year

The team at The Holiday Inn London – Camden Lock were our standout team and property over the last two years, demonstrating the values of the group and a commitment towards quality, revenue, training, well-being, sustainability and operations.

“Receiving this award was such a proud moment in my Camden career! The team here at the hotel have been working so hard and have engaged all the way through the pandemic, so being recognised as the property of the year was a very special moment for all of us.

This award and recognition reflects the team’s hard work and dedication, engagement and drive for the guest and property, and I am grateful and proud to be part of the journey with my team.”
